About
Bio
Rashard Montgomery (b. 1980, Fort Campbell, KY) is a Detroit-based visual artist working in acrylic and spray paint, photography, digital design, pens, and graphite. Rashard examines the dark side of human nature through a playfully subversive graffiti and cartoon style.
A diverse upbringing in a military family provides his lived inspiration to visually humanize tools of war and destruction through colorful and approachable characters. Rashard's work is influenced by the free expression of street art and graffiti, all while grounded in a clean, design-driven approach.
